We wish to inform you that the State Government has announced that effective the 1st of January 2005, all Sipadan operators have to move out from the island. The Government will take steps to protect and conserve the island of Sipadan. However, the Government will allow day trippers to dive around the island.

As such, effective from 1st January 2005 the Sipadan Island Dive Resort will cease operation.

However you may wish to stay at Kapalai Resort which is only 15 mins away from Sipadan by boat. Go to Sipadan for 2 morning dives and back to Kapalai for lunch. The 3rd afternoon dive will be a choice of diving around Kapalai or Mabul.

As of September 1, 2004, the Sipadan Resort Package is no longer available. However, the Sipadan Kapalai Package offering a combination stay will be offered through the end of the December, 2004.
